Kim's Art & Soul

Hello
I am a full-time artist who works in watercolor, acrylic, and pen & ink. My paintings are displayed on five continents to date: North America, South America, Asia, Australia, and Africa. My goal is to have at least one collector on all seven continents. As the name implies, I work from the soul which means my work is genuine. I work for the soul which means I seek to inspire my collectors. Read on below.
My Story
Much of my adult life has been spent working the daily grind, although I've always dabbled in art in some form. After a breast cancer diagnosis, I had to ask myself the hard questions: What's really important in the life I have left? How do I want to spend that time? During my recovery, I spent time painting again, something I had missed for too long. That's when I realized I was never happier than when I am creating! So, I've finally taken the plunge as a full-time artist because life is short.
My favorite artist is Norman Rockwell because he painted the moments in life that matter. I also enjoy illustration, which is where my love of pen and ink comes in. I'm originally from a small town in Massachusetts where I lived my entire childhood. Now, I live in beautiful Oregon with my two Peach-faced Lovebirds, Pico and Maximus, and my naked Sphynx cat, Mister. Music really moves me, and I always listen while I create. I'm a woman of faith who loves the old-time hymns, instrumental, reggae, and oldies! Here are my art assistants at work!
