Hello
Thanks for stopping in. I am a mixed media watercolor, and pen & ink artist who is fascinated with watercolor. Traditionally, I was a pen/pencil artist until I tried the gentleness of watercolor. Yes, watercolor art is beautiful, but as an artist, I missed the fine lines and high contrast that came pencil drawing. Then, I learned about pen and wash (watercolor) and I found my niche!

I also love the power of words. You'll find a variety of positive statements on my art. Of course, they are also available as a plain print, or you can personalize any print HERE.

Over the years, my work has been displayed on five continents to date: North America, South America, Asia, Australia, and Africa. Just two more to go! Scroll down to learn more about my art journey.

My Story
Much of my adult life has been spent working the daily grind. Believe it or not, I was a commercial painter, which means I was basically a construction worker with a paint brush. For years I painted stadiums, office parks, schools, and hospitals. At 40, I decided to go to college and graduated with the desirable degrees, but still longed to do art. I also learned that I love teaching, which I still do in person and online. Fast forward a decade or so: I took the plunge because life is short - and I have never regretted the decision to pursue art.

I'm originally from a small town in Massachusetts where I spent my entire childhood. Today, I am inspired by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, in Oregon. I'm a woman of faith and I love music which plays continuously while I create. My favorite artist is Norman Rockwell because he painted the moments in life that matter. I share my humble studio with two lovebirds and my Sphynx cat.
